What others are saying about the SOE

I am honored to endorse the U.S. Standards of Excellence in Short-Term Mission. The SOE is an extremely well designed pathway to guide those sending short-term teams toward excellence, whether working locally or far from home. The SOE provides member organizations a roadmap to move beyond ‘drive by missions’ to a quality program with appropriate preparation, thorough follow-up and integrity.

I am very impressed with the U.S. Standards of Excellence in Short-Term Mission. I am especially grateful for its focus on "intended receptors". The desire to insure that short-term ministry benefits indigenous long term work is critical. I encourage anyone engaged in short-term mission outreach to adopt and join the Standards of Excellence.

Stewardship and accountability are at the core of our organization’s mission to serve the forgotten poor around the world. Standards of Excellence (SOE) certification provides us and others the ability to be analyzed and recognized as an organization that presents exceptional value and opportunity to those wishing to serve on the mission field.
