STM Resource Providers
Resource Providers — organizations
that provide products and support services of particular
benefit to STM sending organizations and STM efforts toward
excellence.
There are many organizations that
support and provide key services to the churches, schools,
agencies and ministries that send out groups and
individuals on short-term mission outreaches. Some provide
equipment specifically tailored to STMs, others provide
training materials to prepare goer-guests for the
experience ahead of them, and others provide travel
reservations or travel insurance. Each desires the best
experience possible for the groups and individuals, and an
equally beneficial result for the host receivers and
senders.
How does an organization qualify to be a recognized STM
Resource Provider with the Standards of Excellence in
Short-Term Missions?
- It understands, supports, embraces and promotes the principles contained in the Seven Standards of Excellence in Short-Term Mission.
- It is committed to encourage excellence in short-term missions.
- It completes an annual report about how its products and services foster excellence in STMs.
- It pays an annual fee to help support the SOE movement.
- It refers to the Standards and uses the SOE logo in its marketing to encourage others to commit themselves to excellence in their STMs.
- It interacts with STM facilitators at annual STM
conferences such as FSTML, NSTMC, and STMLC.
If your organization is willing to make the above commitments, we would love to have you join with us as we work shoulder to shoulder to lift the level of quality in short-term missions. Applications may be obtained by emailing our office at info@STMstandards.org or calling (866)763-8221.
Organizations that officially adopt the Standards of
Excellence by submitting their completed Resource Provider
Member Application Form will immediately become STM Resource
Provider Members. They are encouraged to display the SOE seal
on their products and media.
