Standards Introductory Workshop (SIW)
Description
The SIW is designed to help adoptive member organizations
understand how they can achieve all seven Standards, and how to
form and manage their own
Peer Review process.
Workshops are interactive, use case studies, small group
discussions, lecture and provide training in
MISTM-grid theory in
order to help
Provisional
Members proceed to
Covenant Member
status. Most of the SIWs will be piggy-backed onto ongoing
STM Training
Conferences in order to reduce time and travel expenses.
Frequency
The SIW is a one-time required SOE-sponsored 6-8 hour
workshop for the key STM personnel of Provisional Member
organizations. Attendance is required within three years of
becoming an SOE Provisional Member (preferably within the first
year).
Trainers
SOE trainers (usually two) conduct each SIW.
Cost
The SIW cost is $159 per attendee (plus travel and
housing if necessary). If you are simultaneously registering
for the host conference and paying those additional
registration fees (plus additional housing and meals if
necessary), your $159 SIW registration fee will be discounted
to $129.
Current SIW Options
The SIWs marked with an asterisk (*) are piggy-backed
onto SOE-approved STM Training Conferences so that you can
fulfill both training requirements in just one conference.
