Short-Term Mission Training Conferences
Description
The SOE readily approves nationwide, on-going STM-related
conferences (sponsored by different hosting groups) which take
place throughout the U.S. Some approved conferences will provide an
STM track as one elective option during the conference; others will
be entirely devoted to training in STM. Some of these conferences
will also host the
Standards
Introductory Workshop (SIW).
Frequency
Your key STM personnel are required to attend an SOE-approved
STM Training Conference at least once every three years to achieve
and then maintain
Covenant Member status.
Trainers
Various volunteers (all with STM experience) from churches,
agencies, schools, and other organizations provide the training,
according to the design of the given host conference.
Cost
Each host conference determines its own registration fee,
room, and board costs. Some conferences provide early registration

Conferences. Those marked with an asterisk (*) have an SIW
piggy-backed onto them so that you can fulfill both training
